It's not easy to smile and be nice

when you are often called to sacrifice

It's not easy to pick yourself and shake off the dust
when you feel broken inside with no one to trust

It's not easy to give in your all
when the worst is about to fall

It's not easy to appear tough
when you know you had enough

It's not easy to shout your battlecry
when you wish to just lie down and cry

It's not easy to frequently give
when you have nothing to show, for the life you lived

It's not easy to care a little bit too much
when you are aware you destroy everything you touch

It's not easy to fight back and resist
when the voice inside you have something to insist

It's not easy to climb the extra mile
when you cannot start a step and can only sigh

It's not easy to do the impossible
when you know what comes is horrible

It's not easy to reach you peak
when you are feeling too weak

It's not easy to put others first

when you are feeling at your worst
