Morgue walls have heard the loudest cries
the only place where the tears never lie
the wails will echo along the corridor
as the pain is almost unimaginable
as you still stare waiting for a miracle
But the room has no mercy
as it took the loved one swiftly
the cracks on the wood so sturdy
is the one telling the story
It has heard the most sincere prayers
even more than church walls and altars
Begging God for one more chance
but every once, he can only do so much
You speak to him with no reply
and all the echoes are none but cries
Saying what you want with feelings
with shaking hands and heavy breathing
your sweat is cold and tears are warm
with clenching jaw and inner scars
chest is heavy, with mind so blank
you lose all thoughts while your heart sank
The most sincere place is where it hurts most
where you hear the most sincere cries saw its cost
the morgue walls will always echo
to the hearts that was filled with sorrow
